LOW POINT DECATHLON

Since 1996 Karin and Dietmar Juriga organize each year a "Low Point Decathlon". Winner is this athlete who has the lowest score.

Here are the rules:
- If the performance of an athlete is worse than 1 point, he gets +250 points penalty.
- For the hurdles the Jedermann-Decathlon heights are used
- The athletes are not allowed to use a watch or measure tape during the events.
- It is not allowed to perform the shot put, discus and javelin with a standing throw.
- At the high jump and pole vault the bar lies on 1,50m and is lowerd continiously by the referees, the athlete stands in a distance from about 10 meters and determines his jumping hight. For this two events the long-jump pit is used. The measured heights are not told to the other athletes until the event is finished.
